The founder of Muna swimwear, Faareha S. is a true beach-lover at heart. Born in Pakistan but raised in Canada, she always had a passion for swimming and spending time at the beach. As someone who dressed relatively modestly, she was rarely permitted in public pools wearing her brother's oversized T-shirt and a pair of old black leggings, and when she was, it was always an uncomfortable experience.

While traveling, she felt like the least fashionable person on the beach and never enjoyed taking photos, no matter how stunning or memorable the beach in the background was.

She started Muna from a 600 sq.ft condo in Toronto, after getting accepted to The Fashion Zone incubator at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). She began the journey of creating the perfect modest swimwear by working with experienced fashion designers. To ensure that the swimsuits were made with the best materials available, she traveled over 15,000km to learn about sustainable fabrics that offer comfort, performance, and durability. Finally, she was able to create swimwear that met all her requirements, and looked cute too!

After self-teaching herself how to swim and spending years struggling to find the perfect modest swimwear, she decided to create her own modest swimwear brand that would align with her beliefs while also providing comfort, style, and complete functionality.

Sustainable & Eco-Friendly.

We take sustainability seriously. The fabric we use is made of recycled materials such as discarded fishing nets, that are polluting our oceans. By repurposing these materials, we are helping to reduce waste and prevent harm to marine life, while creating high-quality swimwear that lasts longer and performs better. We are committed to making a positive impact on the environment and our community, one swimsuit at a time.
